Case-oriented collection of crime damage and coping, Labor Standards Act, real estate contracts, and lease fraud... the purpose of 'protecting everyone's equal opportunities and legitimate rights before the law'
"The law is considered a difficult object for the people, and it seems that most people are in trouble about what to do and what to do when legal issues arise. Therefore, I wanted to create a life law book focused on practical information and cases so that both men and women of all ages can easily understand and protect their legitimate rights without majoring in law."
Students from Incheon National University's law department and the design department formed a team called "Court Kwon Geun" for Incheon National University's 2024 Good Knowledge Social Contribution Project, and published "Easy to Know, Cartoon Road (LAW)!" They are Jang Yong-jin, Park Ye-won, Kim Hyun-seok, and Jeong Sang-hoon and Han Ah-young, students from Incheon National University's law department. They are composed of five students from Incheon National University, and published a booklet with a lifestyle law concept that law majors can easily teach.
Crime reporting methods, cyber crime reporting systems, labor standards laws, wage arrears, industrial accidents, real estate contract procedures and precautions, charter fraud methods, legal rescue systems, personal rehabilitation systems, personal bankruptcy and indemnification systems, etc. are the main contents of major legal procedures and issues that can be encountered in daily life, and a booklet is organized so that all citizens can protect their rights.
In particular, considering the readability of this booklet and the public's understanding, three students from Incheon National University's law department were in charge of case studies, information extraction, and manuscript writing, and two students from the multilateral humanities department were divided into roles in charge of painting and editing.
In addition, in consideration of the specificity and expertise of the case, Kwon Do-kyung, a labor attorney at Incheon National University's manpower development team, and Jang Min-soo, a lawyer at the law firm, willingly participated in the inspection.
In response, Chang Yong-jin, a student at Incheon National University's law department, said, "I hope that during the summer vacation in July, a court-related team was formed to conduct data research by splitting time, and published 'Easy to Know, Comic Book (LAW)!' while taking related special lectures, will serve as an opportunity for many to read and lower barriers to law."
Jeong Sang-hoon, a student at the Department of Design who participated in the project, said, "As a student who lacked knowledge and experience in law, it was good to accompany law students on the steps for social contribution, and I think it will be a precious memory from my school days."
Park Ye-won, a student at Incheon National University's law department, said, "I want to share the life law booklet published this time with the local community," adding, "With the cooperation of the Incheon National University Social Service Center, I will visit youth centers, including government offices, and donate this booklet."
For reference, on October 11 (Friday), students of the "Court Kwon Geun" team met with Park Sang-hwan, a planning prosecutor at the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, to introduce and donate the book "Let's find out easily, cartoon (LAW)!" and Kim Hyun-seok, a student at Incheon National University's law department, said, "While preparing for the publication of this booklet, I was rewarded to help my acquaintances with real estate contracts and overdue wages."
In response, Park Sang-hwan, a planning prosecutor at the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, encouraged them, saying, "I am truly grateful that college students, who are tight to study, have made such efforts and produced satisfactory results for members of society and to lower the threshold of the law."
