The Incheon National University Student Council has planned and implemented various welfare programs to support students exhausted from studying for final exams, receiving an enthusiastic response from the students.
Final Exam Snack Giveaway
On June 5, the Incheon National University Student Council held the “Final Exam Snack Sharing Event with the President and Student Council,” distributing sandwiches, cookies, and beverages to support students exhausted from studying. This event was especially meaningful as it marked the first official occasion for newly appointed President Injae Lee to communicate directly with students. President Lee personally handed out snacks on-site, making eye contact and offering words of encouragement to students.
The snacks, provided to a total of 500 students, were especially popular among those who tend to skip meals due to their tight schedules during the exam period. Bu Ho-seong (School of Business, Class of 2020), who participated in the event, said, “It’s hard to find time to eat properly during exams, so I really appreciated the thoughtful snacks from the university. It gave me strength to continue studying."
Along with the snack-sharing event, the Student Council’s newly launched initiatives this semester—“1,000-Won Lunch” and “1,000-Won Dinner”—also drew significant attention. These programs provide high-quality meals at the affordable price of just 1,000 won, offering practical support to students amid rising living costs. The popularity was evident, with meals often selling out within 30 minutes.
Student Council President Kwangdeok Han stated, “We launched the ‘1,000-Won Lunch and Dinner’ program as a new welfare initiative for students during exam season, and the response has exceeded our expectations.” He added, “Following today’s snack-sharing event, it was especially meaningful to have another chance to meet and cheer on fellow students through this meal initiative.” He concluded, “We will continue to reflect student feedback and prepare a variety of welfare programs moving forward.”
